Ramesh Krishnan, a senior staff engineer at ATK, said the demand for complicated, ever-more-exact virtual models and the need to solve increasingly complex physics problems require ever-smarter electronic brains. "We believe Linux Networx has the proven expertise in application tuning and system design we need to meet these sophisticated computational and visualization demands," he said.

The World We Live In

This was the scene as we walked to the baseball stadium on Saturday. Three boys, three phones, three separate converstations... and all maintaining a healthy distance from one another. :)

Just in case you were wondering, they are Jonathon, Drew & Ryan. :)

Zetterholm Weekend Adventures

Well, our weekend was full of activities, but also very relaxing, if that is possible. Here are a few of our weekend happenings:

• Tourist Baseball Game - we watched our favorite baseball team beat the socks off of the other team, we even managed to get a couple baseballs. :)
• Saw V for Vendetta at the Asheville Pizza & Brewing Co. a.k.a. the Brew & View (a hole in the wall pizza restaurant/movie theatre where movies are only $2!!)
• Drove up the Blue Ridge Parkway to Mt. Mitchell, the highest point east of the Mississippi, a whopping 6684 feet! (My parents house is at 5500, and it only goes up from there, just goes to show you the different between the blue ridge and the rocky mountains :). The picture above was taken from the top.
• Quickly left Mt. Mitchell before being eaten by 10 bazillion gnats.
• Stopped halfway home to shake the bugs out of my hair - looked like a freak to all who were watching.
• Grilled hotdogs and chicken at Drew's parent's house.
• Watched Return To Me... sigh, I love that movie.
• Organized my pantry, anybody need 12 cans of chicken broth? How about garbonzo beans?
• Almost finished reading John Adams by David McCullough. If you haven't read it, you really should. But be prepared to sit for a while. :)
• Slept in until 9 o'clock in the morning!
• Washed Sheets.
• Helped my brother make amazing hamburgers with fried onions and horseradish sauce... and red potato wedges.... yummy!!! (Jen, I would rather eat my calories than drink them).
• Stayed out of the 90 degree/100% humidity weather.

I've Been Tagged...

Ok, for Amy. :) Sorry it has taken me so long:

1. I Hate The Word MOIST. It just sounds nasty. I don't like to use it, and it makes me cringe when other people do.

2. I Clean to Relieve Stress. So right now, I am not stressed so my house is messy... (although most people wouldn't label it messy.) I hate clutter also. I like things clean, but the more stressed I am the more clean my house is. In college, my room was always pristine. :)

3. I Do NOT Like Words That Begin With The Letter "P." Purse, pleasure, persuasion. Ick, ick ick. I don't like them, don't use them and don't like it when other people do.

4. I am a Car Freak. I don't know another way to describe it. I inherited it, first of all, from my dad & second because my first car demanded it. I must have the radio off, and the ac/heat off before the car is turned off because "it drains the battery if you don't" (I can hear my dad saying) I also try and never use my breaks more than necessary. I can still hear my dad when driving down the canyon, "Now Leah, adjust your speed so that you can just take your foot off the gas to slow the car down, don't use the breaks and don't go above 2 1/2 rpm." It didn't help that my first car was an OLD jeep that was pathetic and needed every little bit of help it could get, so it all mattered. And I haven't grown out if it.

5. Don't Steal My Food!! It really really bugs me when people take food off my plate. If you ask, I will be more than willing to share, but DO NOT TAKE IT WITHOUT ASKING. It has been rumored that I have stabbed people with a fork and dumped a glass of water on people for taking food off of my plate without asking...

6. I LOVE shopping for Toothbrushes! And for toothbrushes only. I hate buying clothes and trying things on, but I love looking for toothbrushes... it drives Drew nuts. :) I could look for hours. I also like shopping for most personal hygiene items, but everything else I despise.

So there you go. Now you know all of my weird habits... or at least enough to scare you. :)

It finally has a top, instead of just looking like a topless jack-o-lantern. :) Windows and roofing should be coming in the next week or so.

The abyss has now become a bonus room! (SDCH, only a few more days and we will have a floor and some windows so you can come and visit!)  

The Front Porch

I couldn't resist, even though I have already posted too many pictures. This is my favorite part about the house... the front porch. I can't wait to sit in my hammock chair and read for hours... or drink lemonade in the teak rockers that I have been eyeing at Sam's Club. :)

Tour Continued...

Well, I am sorry it has taken so long... I am not sure what I have been doing, but it probably doesn't even qualify as an excuse let alone a reason. :) They are putting on the roof tomorrow, so then it will really look like a house... anyway, on with the tour...

Let us head up the stairs (between the living room at the front of the house and the family room at the back), my brother wants to use the area at the back, under the landing, as a doggy house, I told him that as long as he is willing to crawl in when the dog messes in there that it is fine with me... he let go of his doggy-house dream rather quickly:

So, here we are at the top of the stairs looking back down:

If you turn to the left, you look out the front of the house, there is a little landing, with a window to the front and a 2-story foyer. There is a bedroom to the left, and one to the right, we are debating whether or not to replace the 2x4 with a real railing, the 2x4 has a nice rustic appeal:

If you come up the stairs and look straight ahead you will see a great abyss. But hopefully tomorrow there will be a hallway to a 2nd bathroom and the bonus room... but until then, we are not allowed to have anyone remotely suicidal on the 2nd floor:

And if you turn to the right, you walk into the Master Bedroom (no there won't be a fireplace) and to the left there will be a closet and bathroom, but it not interesting enough to warrant a picture, so here you go:
