Just helping out getting some pics at the Asia Wrap play area. :)
Tales of the events, both real and imagined, thoughts, ponderings, some deep and some shallow, observations and the like as experienced by a girl, who was born in the north, grew up in the west, moved to the east and currently lives in the south.

Tulips and Kids!
I love this time of year!!! The tulips at the biltmore are always amazing! Despite crabby children, and a face first fall on the gravel we managed to get a few decent pictures! :)

11 Months Old
This little munchkin is 11 months old today! My goodness how the time flies when you are having fun and not sleeping! :)
Despite the fact that he hasn't totally figured out the whole sleeping thing, he is turning into a little boy and so much fun! He babbles CONSTANTLY, it quite good natured and has a little worried because he actually sits in a stroller for longer than 13 seconds without screaming to get out! :) That said, he stays quite busy dismantling anything that is within his reach, LOVES to bang on pots and pans, and his very very very favorite is pulling toilet paper and swishing in toilets any chance he gets! (BLECK!!)
He is walking everywhere, and almost runs (although it is more like falling in a head long fashion, while moving your feet as fast as you can, while also looking like you just got off a horse).
He is also making his mama get a good arm workout weighing in at just under 26lbs! Built like a tank this one is! :) And after three tries... I think Andrew got his mini-me. :)
Love love love this little boy!

"Reading"
This little girl is growing way too fast! And she amazes me every day with how uniquely Naomi she is! :). She is so different from her brother! I don't think I expect them to be the same, but she is always surprising me with how COMPLETELY opposite she is from him. I have no idea if it is gender or just temperament but whatever it is, it is so fun to watch it unfold!
She loves roll-playing and make believe (non- bad guy/good guy boy stuff). We often reenact the fairy tales we have been reading... Little red riding hood or the three little pigs. Not sure what it means, but 98% of the time she wants to be the big bad wolf! :)
She loves babies and sparkly things but she is just at home with a couple Lego mini figures. Love this crazy girly!!

The Trade
My life at the moment seems to be a constant trade. There is no such thing as cleaning a room and leaving it anymore!
So here is my trade today: clean kitchen from 3' up.... And distruction from 3' down!! :)
Lego Exhibit!!
We visited the NC Arboretum yesterday to see the amazing Lego exhibit! The weather was amazing (50 degrees!) and the Lego creations were incredible!
The Gardener. We named him John.
The bison... make with over 43,000 Lego pieces! We got to go with friends Josh and Missy and Alina and Levi. Ben and Alina spent a lot if time discussing what life would be like if the whole world was made of Legos. :) so cute!!

Overwhelmed
Overwhelmed seems to be the word that sums up my life of late. Yes, many many days I am overwhelmed with dishes and squawking, bickering children. Overwhelmed when I think about dishes and laundry and homeschooling and diapers.....
I am often overwhelmed with the magnitude of this thing we call parenting. How will I ever send these little people off into the world to be a blessing and a joy and not a detriment to society? :). Will there really be a day they remember to say Yes Ma'am and No Thank You and for heaven sakes close the van door when you get out??
And then there are the moments like the ones pictured here. Moments of pure sweetness, kindness and love for one another. Moments that I as their mama get to see. A glimpse into how much our Heavenly Father adores us. Or moments like tonight standing in the middle of their bedroom when all three healthy, growing children are sleeping and realizing that God picked me to be their mama, and what an overwhelming privledge it is to love and guide them.
Thank you Jesus for my blessings. :)

SIX
Benjamin Asher, my first baby, turned SIX yesterday. In a way it has gone so fast, and yet it is hard to imagine a life without him.
He is a boy beyond his years. An old sole... Like his daddy. :). He is a sweet big brother, a lover of all things Lego and boy, soccer man, vegetable lover. He has a huge imagination... From zombie attacks to blizzards. Something is always going on behind those light brown eyes. He loves to snuggle and be read to, but loves Angry Birds too. :).
He remembers everything, loves to sleep in his clothes and a winter hat and eat oatmeal for breakfast. :). He is precious to me and a great blessing. Love you Benjamin Asher! I am so thankful I get to be your mama!!

It wouldn't be Jaunuary without...
A little stomach bug action. :(. Poor Na-Na!!! Thankfully it didn't last too long and she is up and about this morning!
Praying the rest of us don't get it! I have been essential oiling and diffusing up a storm!!!

Dance dance!!
We have entered a new stage. Unfamiliar territory. I am slightly excited but mostly scared. :).
Naomi started dance classes this week. A sweet woman we know is teaching a class for little girls and I am so excited that Naomi can be a part!!
She played music and told the girls that she would call them one at a time and they could do whatever they wanted! I thought she would freak out... But I have no idea why I was worried! He ran out to the middle if the floor without a moment of hesitations and just twirled and danced her heart out. :)
