Well, life has quickly gone from having evenings free and "happy where we are," to going crazy and not knowing what the next step may be. We found out last week that Andrew was admitted to UNC Charlotte and Wake Forest (YAHOO!!), so although that is great it definitely makes the decision making harder when he is admitted to more than one school. :) Now the decision becomes one of full-time (move away) vs. part-time (live here and drive 2 hours one way, once a week).
But with Grad School in the horizon it definitely makes selling the house the right decision, whether we got part or full-time. It went on the market last Friday, and today they are having an open house, so pray that it sells quickly! If nothing else if we move across town he will be 30 minutes closer to any school that he may chose.
We are currently sitting at the Asheville airport waiting for our plane to head to Ryan's wedding. I can't believe that my little brother is getting married. At the moment I am really looking forward to seeing my brothers and hanging out at the lake for a few days before wedding preparations begin. (Sometimes it pays to be on the grooms side of things... :)
The baby is safely at a friend's house for the week, but the look on her face when we drove away made my heart break a little. I just need to not think about it and I will be fine... besides she has 2 acres and another dog to play with all week, she probably has forgotten we even existed. :)
Ok, I have 4 minutes to use the bathroom before the start boarding the plane, so goodbye for a few days... I hope to be able to find internet access while we are gone, but you never know when you are in Middle-Of-Nowhere, MO. :)

Yard Sales
This morning we had a yard sale to raise money for a friend who is going to Thailand for 2 years as a missionary. We raised just over $400!! It could not have come at a better time, it was a great time to get rid of things since we are probably moving in the next few months. I didn't think we had much, but we got rid of TONS of things... books, clothes, vases, end tables and much more...
I personally think it was the best sale ever, because since it was all going to one place we didn't have to worry about who's stuff was who's... we just sold it. And we entered knowing that if it didn't sell it was all going to Goodwill, so we would sell it all at any price. It started at 8, by 10:30 we were at half price and by 11 we went to "Everything you can fit in a bag for $1." And since there were 10 of us (girls in our bible study) plus a few husbands the set up and tear down went very quickly.
It never ceases to amaze me the things people buy... my lovely candlestick holders didn't go and some baby clothes didn't go, but my ugly jewelry box, shaving cream, 3 boxes of collector plates, and the box of oranges and grapefruit that I bought for us to eat sold for $3!!! (Only after I assured her they were from Florida though).
It was a great Morning, Ivy had a great time meeting all the new people (and dogs) and then we took her to the dog park to run around, but she was so tired she just sniffed around and plopped down in the tiny bit of shade that was there. She will sleep well tonight!!
Well, we are off to see Shrek 3 with friends....

I Should Be Cleaning
Well, as I mentioned in my last post, we have decided to sell our house after 1 year instead of 2. So, life is beginning to spin out of control. The horrible thing about getting your house ready to sell is that you can't hide anything in closets or just close off a room, EVERYTHING has to be clean... perfectly clean. So needless to say I have spent hours cleaning our closets and vacuuming up dog hair from under all furniture, and planting flowers to make our house look as beautiful, quaint and homey as possible. We are meeting with the Realtor on Wednesday and Lord willing we will have it on the market a week from tomorrow, when we leave for Ryan's wedding!! Please pray that is sells quickly!!
And not only are we trying to sell the house, the idea of Andrew and grad school is looming on the horizon. Last month we sent off 5 applications for MBA programs to Clemson, Wake Forest, Montreat, UNC Charlotte and Western Carolina University. Just pray that the Lord will make it clear where we are to live and how grad school fits into our already busy lives!

My Green-Eyed Baby

She is probably the only blonde, green-eyed baby I will ever have and since I don't have any children to brag on, I thought I would tell you about my amazing puppy. She is sitting at my feet feet right now, relatively calm, chomping on her bone (although occasionally she slowly moves up the bone onto my shoe, but as soon as I look at her she moves back with a look of "what, I wasn't doing anything" on her face).
She passed puppy class with flying colors and starts obedience 1 classes in June. She can now sit, lay down, stand, come, stay, shake with both paws and walk on leash without too much trouble... although her hearing is twice as good if you have a treat in your hand. She can also sit, stay, lay down and "speak" on hand commands. :) And as you can see from the picture above, she is very even tempered and good natured. The Lord knew we needed an good tempered dog! The boys love to torture her, and she never gets mad, just comes back for more with her tale wagging. .jpg)

TWO full-grown men to wrap her up, and she was usually out in under a minute. And here is another picture of the Jonathon (or Santa) and Ivy. :) In the four months we have had her she has gone from 7lbs to 51lbs, and last Monday she became and "it." Poor baby had to be put under and came home so groggy, but she was herself the next morning. 
And even though she is 5 months old, she still does not sit quite right, but I love it. It is endearing, and I can pick up dog out of a line up any day. :) There is just something wonderful about having someone how runs to you every morning and is happy to see you every time you are around. So, if you are thinking about getting a dog I definately recommend it. :) Just make sure they are a yellow lab. :)

Oh The Craziness!!!!
OK, in my last post, I meant something real... soon, not something, real soon. No, I am not acquiring the horrible southern grammar... at least not yet.
Life has been crazy lately. Working in the building industry means that summers are crazy times, and that means that my job gets crazy in the spring, so everyone else can go nuts in the summer... we have a new development just starting of 200 homes, so I have been putting together selections (choosing which toilets, cabinets, carpet etc. we should offer), and collecting all the samples, and the slightly more fun part... decorating model homes! I have one down and one left to go. Just a credit card and empty rooms to fill. :) I will hopefully post a few pictures soon. The Bed, Bath & Beyond people know me by name.
Also, we went to Abingdon, VA for a weekend in March, and then Chapel Hill & Jacksonville, NC the next weekend for a wedding and to see Andrew's grandmother... then came Easter and with it a Good Friday Choir Service and family gatherings, then to DC for the non-existent Cherry Blossoms... it was great to see friends though! Then the 30 Hour Famine last weekend with the Youth Kids at church and we are leaving in 10 minutes to head down to Jacksonville, NC again for Andrew's grandmother's 90th Birthday Party/Family Reunion and then two weekends of getting the house clean and ready to put on the market as well as parties and friends, and then Ryan's wedding!!! And then my mom and little brother and company will be here for most of June followed by a trip to Seattle at the beginning of July, and Lord willing moving into an apartment in Sept and starting a new house...........and so on...
And the puppy is teething! Poor baby... poor 50 lb baby!!! She is growing up so fast, and SOOO much fun! She waited for me at the bottom of the stairs today while I finished packing and loves me even when I leave her for the weekend (yes she has a babysitter)... although that is probably because I give her peanut butter. :) But I don't care, she loves me the best and that is all that matters. :)
