Okay, so it is actually a root beer float bought with the proceeds from his dandelion picking! :) 1 cent per dandelion... He made $1.26. He was very excited to buy something with his money! (Although, his daddy and sister made sure he only got 33% of the float since that was all his money bought. :).
Tales of the events, both real and imagined, thoughts, ponderings, some deep and some shallow, observations and the like as experienced by a girl, who was born in the north, grew up in the west, moved to the east and currently lives in the south.

Naomi: 23 Months
They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so here are a few thousand words that perfectly capture this little ball of energy!!

And here we are on the verge of 2. This girl is just awesome. I don't know how else to say it. I am so thankful she is mine! She is a ray of constant sunshine in our house. :)
She is talking more and more each day. She talks in little sentences and is adding words every day. (Na Na eat apple and tootie!!) She knows almost all of her animals with sounds. She can count to 5. And she also knows a ton of useless words like bamboo and OOOHH LA LA!!! She can parrot pretty much everything, although it is very much still baby talk.
She got beads in her Easter basket and wears them all the time. She loves wearing different shoes and changing them constantly. :)
This girl can run, jump, climb, scale walls and get pretty much anywhere she wants to go in no time at all. And she is NOT a fan of holding your hand or being carried... it limits her options.
She still loves her stuffed animals and sleeps with at least 5 every night in addition to her 2 blankets.
She is no longer my baby, she is all girl. She is still growing, but it has tapered off some, so she can fit into most of what she wore last summer, which is nice... since we went through 5 sizes in a few months in the beginning. :) Although she has to wear leggings with most of her 3T dresses because she is so tall. :) Her hair is longer every day... we even french braided it a few days ago!

Girly Things!

Well, although I am not super girly myself, I have loved dressing Naomi up in girly thing. (Maybe I am trying to live vicariously??) And I detest shopping, especially consignment shopping. I don't like having to pick through things for hours and hours only to come up with nothing. But one day I was feeling brave and energetic and made TWO stops, and here are my finds! Along with three new pairs of pajamas and a sweater. And I spent about $36. Not bad I think, since one dress can set you back at least that much. So, I guess I will have to try it again some time. :-P

Kid Chatter
While having lunch at Uncle Jonathon & Aunt Becki's House...
Ben: OH, Look Daddy! There is a kitty outside. Do you see it?
Drew: Oh Yum. I love cat sandwiches.
B: No daddy, he is sweet! You don't have to eat him.
---
After getting a few new toys:
Ben: Mama, what bucket are we going to put my new toys in? They don't fit in the animal, car or duplo bucket.
L: I guess we can put them in the spotted bag with all the other random things.
B: You mean, the bag with the unusual toys?
L: Yup.
----
Naomi has started learning a few new words as well, most of them related to the Biltmore estate oddly enough.
While driving through the estate:
N (while frantically pointing out the window): Ba-boo! Ba-boo!
(There is Bamboo everywhere).
---
She also loves animals, so she is constantly adding to her animal names:
Tow (Cow)
Ba (Sheep)
Mmm!!! (Think high pitched sqeak - Cat)
Boo (Dog, her FAVORITE animal, she can also also say Dodger, my in-laws dog, who she loves to feed one dog food bit at a time.)
---
She also loves music, just about any song:
N: Mama, Ro, ro, ro?? Ro, ro, ro, Mama?
L: Row, Row, Row your Boat Gently Down the..
N: Seeeeeeeeem
L: If you see a Crocodile, don't forget to...
N: Skeeeeeeeeeeeeem!!!!!!!!
